Natural food color. Turmeric yellow is refined from the root of the plant Curcuma Longa L. Ethanol soluble. Orange-yellow powder. It is an important spice and coloring agent and has been used for more than 2000 years. Turmeric is native to South and South-East Asia and is used in many dishes, especially in curries. The yellow colour of most curries is derived from turmeric. The colour is obtained from the roots of the plant, which are ground to a crude powder. The colour consists mainly of curcumin and is used as a food colour with E-number E100(i), crude turmeric powder is E100(ii).

»  In Turmeric, Curcumin is the primary pigment, and is generally used in various industries as     food color.
»  It is mainly used in dairy products, Beverages, Cereal, Confectionary, Ice cream, Bakery, and     Savory Products.
» Turmeric color is mostly used in flavored milk, Drinks, cultured milk, and desserts to obtain     lemon and banana colors in Dairy.
»  It is added at higher levels to sausages, Pickles, Relishes, Sauces, Dry mixes and Fish due to     its original usage as a spice.
»  It can be used as substitute for Saffron.
»  It adds a warm, mild aroma and distinctive yellow color to foods.
