Sesame seeds add a nutty taste and a delicate, almost invisible, crunch to many Asian dishes. They are also the main ingredients in tahini (sesame seed paste) and the wonderful Middle Eastern sweet call halvah. They are available throughout the year. It carries medicinal properties and it is therefore advisable to take them raw or roasted or its oil to cure some of human diseases. The natural black sesame seeds which we offer are carefully cleaned. We also offer two qualities of black sesame seeds – General and Z-Black (deep black), both are color-sorted and hence does not include white seeds. The high nutritious qualities of sesame seed are strongly considered & they are added in several plates, salads and dressings. An extremely important attributes of a raw or roasted or sesame oil is that it has therapeutic medicinal properties which can be highly useful for human diseases. These natural black sesame seeds are rich in calcium, protein, and B-Vitamins.


Sesame is an East Indian flowering plant that comes from the family of Pedalliaceae and the genus Sesamum. The plant is a tropical annual herb having white and purple flowers. It is renowned for its seeds, which are a source of very useful sesame oil and are also used as a flavoring agent. It is an erect herb that bears tiny, flat, nutty flavored seeds that are oval in shape. Moreover, the seeds come in several colors like red, white, black, yellow etc depending upon the variety of the seeds. As a condiment, the seeds had added a slight crunchy flavor to the preparations since ages, as it was one of the earliest flavoring agents known to man. Sesame seeds are highly valued for their high content of sesame oil, an oil that is very resistant to rancidity. Sesame seeds are the main ingredients in both tahini and the Middle Eastern sweet treat, halvah.

   Uses of the Black Sesame

»  Sesame seeds used into bread, muffins or cookies.
»  Use it as the traditional seasoning to enrich the taste of your food.
»  Combine toasted sesame seeds with rice vinegar, soya sauce and crushed garlic and use as     a dressing for salads, vegetables and noodles.
»  Grind the seeds fresh shortly before using them.
»  Sesame seeds may be baked into crackers, often in the form of sticks.
»  Sesame seeds are also sprinkled onto some sushi style foods.
